Emerging market currencies have steadied against a broadly softer US dollar, giving several central banks room to pause further rate hikes after an aggressive tightening cycle.

Analysts say the dollar's pullback reflects growing conviction that US rate cuts are now closer than previously priced, reducing the yield gap that had been pressuring emerging market capital flows.

“A weaker dollar is the single biggest relief valve emerging markets can get right now,” one EM strategist said.
